The Scouts troop is marked by its energy, its openness to constant learning, and its spirit of adventure.

Every season we work to root the scouting values and principles in our members, while strengthening their life skills and developing a sense of responsibility, through a rounded programme built towards clear and specific goals.

The troop

The troop currently has 22 members aged between 12 and 16, led by Michael Wafik with the support of Assistant Leader Karam Emad and Assistant Leader Jano Sabbagh.

Scout Carlos Ramy Latif was appointed senior patrol leader at the start of the season.

Season theme

This year’s theme is “Scouts Boy Solider (SBS)”. It sets each Scout the task of getting past his own fears and beating the limits of what he thought he could do — while helping the rest of the troop, and knowing that he has a useful and effective part to play in it.

Activities

Annual troop camp – 15–17 July

Held at the Ahmed Orabi Association from 15 to 17 July. The camp set out to train the Scouts in advanced scouting skills, and to concentrate on the hobby badges each Scout wanted to earn.
