The Cubs pack is marked by constant energy and activity, alongside a steady appetite for new skills and knowledge. Every season we work to plant sound values and principles in the Cubs while developing their individual skills and strengthening their sense of responsibility, through an enjoyable, interactive programme built on carefully considered educational goals.

The pack

The pack currently has 15 Cubs aged between 8 and 12, under the supervision of:

Leader Daniel Azer, Leader Mark Khashram, Assistant Leader Sherif Emad, Assistant Leader Youssef Rafik, and Assistant Leader Celine Qassis.

Progression and ranks

Each Cub’s personal progress is one of the core goals we keep in view. Under the progression system used for the Cub stage, the pack currently includes:

  • 2 First Cubs
  • No Second Cubs
  • 13 Novice Cubs

Season theme

This season the pack follows the theme “The Transformers”, alongside the Cub-stage theme “The Jungle Book”. Both themes aim to encourage the Cubs to face life’s challenges, adapt to changing environments, and keep pushing to develop themselves — so that each Cub becomes a better version of himself, able to overcome challenges and widen his horizons.

These goals were put into practice through a range of activities — regular meetings, camps and interactive events — most notably:

Trip to Gravity Code – 17 October 2025

Eight Cubs took part, after taking first place at the 2025 annual celebration.

Badge lab – Youth Association, Cairo branch – 6 February 2026

Five Cubs took part in the Cub-stage badge lab organised by the Youth Association’s Cairo branch at the HOC, where they went through a hands-on, interactive experience working towards four badges: Physically Fit, Digital Culture Enthusiast, First Aider, and Friend of Nature. The lab developed the Cubs’ skills and knowledge across a range of areas, and gave them a valuable chance to meet and mix with Cubs from the other groups.

Cub stage gathering – Catholic Scouts Committee – 17 July 2026

Eight Cubs took part. The meeting aimed to raise awareness of sustainable development: the Cubs were introduced to the concept and to the part they can play through simple everyday practices that help protect the environment. The day was given over in particular to earning the Scouts Go Solar badge, with the Cubs learning how to draw on solar power as a renewable energy source and use it effectively in daily life. It was also a valuable chance to meet and mix with Cubs from the other groups. At the close, the participating Cubs received the Scouts Go Solar badge in recognition of their active involvement.
